I just finished the first draft of my latest short story. As these things usually go… I hate it. However, you can’t sculpt until you have the marble (or something like that).
Now comes the fun part.
The Second Draft!!!
A love hate relationship, where I love to hate it. But it is what takes any piece of fiction to being actually readable. It mostly hurts to read my own work and see how awful it can be. However, I do enjoy the gradual process of improving the work until it takes the shape I have been looking for.
